Plan
- Find quote (from the film) that helps you with the theme you choose before you make your image (quote from the film but not about the film.
- YOU ARE NOT ADVERTISING THE FILM, you are advertising the theme (family, greed or justice)
- Use a way that the theme is presented, for example Frank always wants more money(for greed), and Carl is greedy to catch Frank
- If your having people in the image make them generic
- Image must be appropriate to the audience, which includes people outside of class
- Identify who you are targeting with your static image
- Use all the techniques that we learned about
- 8 lessons to do this including planning
- Also need to write a statement of intent which is why you are using your specific elements to portray the theme
- A3 size poster in landscape not portrait
- Upload to personal blog
- Maybe use stock images, or maybe adobe illustrator?
- Always ask yourself does everything connect and does everything represent the theme, if things don’t represent, it is a bad static image
- Difference between an ad and poster is that the purpose of an ad is to persuade the audience of something
- You can have more text that just the quote if you want
- TEXT NEEDS TO WORK WITH IMAGE TO CREATE A SINGLE GOOD PIECE OF WORK
- You are graded solely on static image and statement of intent is just if you want to have you static image shown externally or submitted for moderation or something like that
- Not allowed to work at home
- Feedback on work for first six lessons but not last two
Justice
- Some people escape justice
- Or I could do the complete opposite, Nobody escapes justice, because in the end of the film Frank was caught.
- A sword symbolising how strong justice can be?
- Scales representing how justice is equal?
- ‘You’re gonna get caught’ or ‘It’s a mathematical fact’

Statement of intent
My static image represents the theme of justice. It is an advertisement for the FBI. It is directed at criminals. It shows that nobody can escape justice, just like in the film “Catch me if you can”. It shows this by showing the quote that Carl Hanratty says which is “You’re gonna get caught” and it also does this by having the justice symbol on it which are weighing scales. I made a lot of the static image blue because blue is the main colour that represents justice. I made the quote black with yellow highlighter, so that it stands out and that it’s the first thing the audience see. The target market for my advertisement is criminals. The quote catches the attention of criminals because it tells them that they are going to get caught in the end. I used empty space to surround some of my images in my static image to act as breathing room for eyes. Empty space also makes the subject images command attention.
